The Ocean Club
The Ocean Club is contemporary venue inspired and infused by Mediterranean influences, located right next door to the Exeter Custom House. In the daytime the venue offers a casual dining experience, serving breakfast, brunch and tapas-style lunches. Later on, the venue becomes a vibrant hotspot to meet friends, enjoy some great drinks and get the evening started. Serving cocktails, beers, wines, spirits and hot drinks all day, the owners pride themselves on being a fully inclusive venue where everyone is welcome.

Mangos
Mango's is a small, independent quayside café, who pride themselves on serving fresh local ingredients and believe that anything can be solved over a good cup of coffee. Located next to the river Exe, they are situated in a historic quayside cellar that was built in 1820's, making the café a unique dining experience.
Opened in 2016, they have become very well known for their breakfasts and light lunches and during the summer months, you can also dine al fresco, with views out across the river - making it the perfect place to watch the world go by. Dog's are also welcome, while they offer picnic boxes in the summer, so why not grab one if you are out walking, cycling or kayaking.

The Wave Project brings people together through surfing. Our evidence-based surf therapy programme is proven to help young people feel less anxious and more positive. We also run beach school projects to help children feel more engaged in education. Working with partner organisations and our amazing volunteers we are changing lives together.

Bishops Blaize Pub
Tucked away on the historic quayside, The Bishop Blaize is ready to welcome walkers, thirsty workers and generally all in search of a good drink in a great atmosphere. The venue boasts regular entertainment, from live music and DJ nights, to karaoke and the screening of sports matches, there is always something going on.
If you are visiting over the summer months, do check out their large sun trap of a garden and make sure you look out for one of their regular drinks promotions.

Lutzy's
Quayside café located on the Piazza Terracina, serving breakfasts, light lunches and afternoon teas, including a delicious range home made cakes, produce and wonderful teas and coffee. They also serve Styles luxury home-made dairy ice creams from the heart of Exmoor, while they are licensed to sell beer, cider and wine should you fancy a little treat wit your food.
Wheat and gluten free products are also available and everything is made with free range eggs. They also only serve organic milk from a local dairy farm.
Open 9am till 4.30pm on Mondays, 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Friday (closed Tuesdays) and 9.30am till 5pm on weekends.

Cafe Boatyard Bakery
Welcome to the Boatyard Bakery & Café, home to Emma’s Bread. Located in an old Victorian warehouse, alongside Exeter Cookery School, we overlook the city’s historic ship canal. Within this light open space our award-winning sourdough bread, pastries, cakes and other baked goods are prepared and sold seven days a week. Customers can watch the bakers at work from the large café serving a wide range of freshly prepared food and drink.

Ride On
Ride On has been delivering quality refurbished bicycles to the local community for over 7 years and, in that time we have put hundreds of people on bikes, given many more children taking their Bikeability course at school the chance to join in and learn how to be safe on the roads and helped 3 year old to 89 year old get cycling!

Puerto Lounge
Puerto Lounge is is a neighbourhood café-bar that combines elements of a restaurant, British pub and coffee shop culture. Located on a great spot by the footbridge, overlooking the River Exe, the venue has a funky open plan light and airy industrial space stretching right across our handsome historic building, with a surprising amount of nooks and crannies to give it a 'home-from-home' feel.
Outside there's an amazing terrace to watch the world (including kayaks, pedalos and swans) pass by. The whole venue is dog-friendly.
They serve a range of food and drinks, including a full kids menu and lots of gluten free and vegan options. Also look out for their weekly specials, that include Cheeky Mondays, Tapas Tuesdays, Lunchtime Deal and Teatime Tipple.

The Coffee Cellar
The Quay is the alternative shopping experience. The majority of the shops are independently owned and not part of large 'chain' companies. The emphasis is on a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and quality of service. The Coffee Cellar sits on the edge of the river, its outside tables flooded with sunlight throughout the day while the boats, duck and swans glide by. The mood is tranquil and nothing is rushed, hours can be spent browsing the unique shops and crafts or just sitting in the sun with a drink in hand.

Quay Climbing Centre
Try climbing today at the Quay Climbing Centre, located in the heart of Exeter's quayside.
The Quay Climbing Centre is the South West's largest dedicated indoor climbing wall. The centre opened in September 2011 and breathes new life into the Old Electricity Works, one of Exeter's most identifiable buildings. The former home to Exeter's tramline turbines is now a climber's playground - the large atrium space which stands at 15 metres high at the apex is a majestic space in which to climb.

The Turf Hotel
Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and protected by the Exe Estuary and surrounding wetlands being deemed by English Nature a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Special Protection Area (SPA), Turf is one of the few pubs in the country that can not be accessed by car - walking, cycling and by boat are the means employed. There are two ferries from Topsham and one that operates along the Canal from Double Locks.

Double Locks
Beautiful canal side pub situated on the Exeter Ship Canal, that can be reached by walking, cycling, by canoe, or by car. Both a family-friendly and dog-friendly pub, there are also extensive gardens that are hugely popular in the summer months. In the winter, they also have a covered and heated stretch tent complete with festive lights and cosy blankets - perfect for a mulled wine or two.
As you'd expect from a traditional pub, they have an array of beers, guest ales wines and ciders, as well as lots of soft drinks options. Throughout the year, they offer a hearty seasonal menu is packed with classic pub favourites, while they are also known for their popular Sunday roasts.
The original Double Locks was built in 1701 as a lock house. The mast of HMS Exeter forms part of the lock gates. Also evident at the front of the pub are the rails running parallel to the lock which were used to tow smaller craft to bypass the lock itself.
The pub is open daily from 11am until 9pm, with food served until 8pm.

Custom House
The Custom House was constructed in 1680-1 by the Exeter Chamber, extended in 1791 and again in the early 19thcentury. It is a Grade I listed building of both local and national importance. It is one of the earliest examples of a purpose built brick customs house in the country and has some fine plasterwork ceilings. Its situation, just outside the city wall at the head of the navigable section of the River Exe, gives it a commanding view and it is probably only second to Exeter Cathedral in popularity with visitors and photographers to the city.

Exeter's Antiques Centre
The Antiques Centre has been located in its present home since 1986. The building, opposite the Customs House on what was the Exeter fish quay, has had many uses in the past having been, variously, a customs transit shed, a fish market and a greengrocers store. Since the Antiques Centre opened, various internal improvements have gradually been made to realise a relaxed, warm and comfortable environment where customers can browse and buy at their own pace.

Dragon Boat paddling is a truly accessible sport that can cater for all ages and abilities. Exe-Calibre welcomes new paddlers to any of its training sessions on the River Exe and Canal providing all equipment and coaching. They train 3 times per week and race during the summer and winter as well as taking part in may social occasions in and around Exeter.

Devon Wildlife Trust
Cricklepit Mill on Commercial Road, Exeter is the headquarters for the Devon Wildlife Trust, a registered conservation charity concerned with protecting wildlife in Devon for the future. Cricklepit Mill is also a restored working watermill, open to the public Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm throughout the year (except Christmas and bank holidays). Cricklepit first started milling in Exeter in 1220 and is the last working watermill in Exeter to survive into the 21st Century. Cricklepit now hosts monthly milling days which offer the general public the opportunity to see this beautifully restored watermill grinding grain for flour in the traditional way using 19th Century machinery and waterwheels. These milling days are usually on the second Friday of every month from10:00am-12 noon, although there are also a few Saturday events throughout the year.
