Quay Climbing Centre

Haven Banks, The Quay, Exeter EX2 8AX

Try climbing today at the Quay Climbing Centre, located in the heart of Exeter’s quayside.

The Quay Climbing Centre is the South West’s largest dedicated indoor climbing wall. The centre opened in September 2011 and breathes new life into the Old Electricity Works, one of Exeter’s most identifiable buildings. The former home to Exeter’s tramline turbines is now a climber’s playground – the large atrium space which stands at 15 metres high at the apex is a majestic space in which to climb.

If you are new to the exciting sport, find our more from our friendly team of instructors. Try one of our introductory courses or bring your family and friends along for a taster session – you’ll soon be climbing like a pro. Reach new heights with a climbing based birthday party or group social. With over 200 climbing lines on walls ranging from 7 to 15 metres plus two bouldering caves, a training wall, teaching zone and abseil tower there really is something for everyone at the centre from complete novices to the most experienced climbers. After your climb enjoy hot food, great coffee and cakes in the Workshop Café, situated on the first floor or just have a drink and enjoy the view of the action below.
