The Exeter Canal and Quay Trust organise a number of events throughout the year to encourage people to visit Exeter’s beautiful and historic waterfront area. We also work with our Cultural Partners at Literature Works and Art Work Exeter to put on even more fun and creative events in the Exeter Custom House and Transit Shed and across the wider quayside area.

Upcoming Highlights

Exeter Heritage Harbour Festival 2024
7 – 9 June

Our hugely popular Heritage Harbour Festival will be returning to Exeter Quayside to celebrate our maritime history and Heritage Harbour status. Expect a packed programme of events including music, walks, talks, street entertainment, demonstrations, stalls and cinema.

Summer at the Quayside
26 July – 30 August

Exeter Canal and Quay Trust will again be bringing free family activities to the quayside every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday over the school summer holidays. Taking place under the Transit Shed, expect a colourful and exciting programme of family fun.

Quayside Shanty Festival
Saturday 14 September

Join us for a celebration of sea shanties on Exeter’s historic quayside. Watch this space for what promises to be a fantastic day and evening of folk songs of the sea, performed by some colourful characters and suitable for all the family.
