We’re Exeter Canal and Quay Trust, a local charity dedicated to preserving the beautiful and historic Exeter Quayside — a much-loved part of our city’s heritage.
But we don’t just protect buildings — we bring the quayside to life! Through a wide range of free events and activities, we aim to create a vibrant, welcoming space for both residents and visitors to enjoy all year round.
One of our most popular events is the Quayside Shanty Festival — a lively weekend of sea shanties, maritime merriment and community spirit! The festival is completely free to attend, and it brings together local people, international performers, and hundreds of visitors who help keep the spirit of the quay alive.
But we can’t do it without your help.
